Find a Subject
Use search, filter, and sort controls to locate subjects quickly—whether you created them manually, imported a list, or received them via API.
You will:
Open Subjects
Search by name or advanced properties
Narrow with filters
Change sort order

Step 2: Open Subjects
In the left navigation, select Subjects. On smaller screens this may appear as a person icon.
You can now use search, filters, and sort on this page.

Step 3: Use global search
The basic search bar is at the top right of the app (near your username and notification icon).
Enter keywords or a phrase.
Results can include subjects and posts.
Subject matches are grouped and ordered alphabetically by subject.
Use this when you are not sure which page the item lives on, or when searching across posts and subjects together.

Step 4: Use the Subjects filter bar
On the Subjects page, use the filter/search bar (typically top left of the page content).
### Name matching
Partial and fuzzy matching on subject name by default.
For an exact name match, wrap the string in double quotes:
"John Smith".Matching is case insensitive.
### Property operators
Pattern | Effect |

| Search all searchable properties |
### Searchable properties
name, company, alias, highschool, address, phone, city, email, state, handle, country, tags, college, notes
Results respect your current Sort by setting.

Step 5: Apply page filters
Click the three vertical dots (top left of the Subjects page).
Choose a filter:
Filter | Shows |
|---|---|

My Subjects | Subjects you own or that are assigned to you |
Not Completed | Subjects not yet redressed |
Archived Subjects | Archived subjects only |
Screening | Subjects with Continuous Screening enabled |
Filters combine with any search text already applied.
To clear page filters, use the funnel icon (top left) as shown in the UI.

Step 6: Sort the list
Click the three vertical dots (top left).
Select Sort by… and choose:

Date Added | Newest subjects first |
Name | Alphabetical by name |
Date Run | Most recently checked first |
Score | Lowest score first; subjects without a score at the bottom (Understanding Subject Scores) |
Date Assigned | Oldest analyst assignment first |

Step 7: Clear search and filters
Click X next to active search criteria in the search/filter bars to remove that criterion.
Clear page filters with the funnel control when filters remain applied.
Confirm the list returns to your default view before starting a new search.
