Manually Add a Subject
Use this guide to create one subject in Ferretly and submit them for social media screening.
The Add Subject flow is a four-step wizard:
Add Info — name (required) and optional ID/resume upload
Location — address, city, state, country
Additional Properties — employer, school, age, email, phone, tags, and other identifiers
Submit — review the summary, choose a report profile, then Run Check or Submit to Analyst Assistant
You will:
Open Add Subject
Complete the four wizard steps
Submit for processing
Understand how Agentic AI profile search finds social profiles
Prerequisites
Signed-in Ferretly user with permission to add subjects
Available credits (if you or an analyst will run a check)
At least the subject’s full name; more identifiers improve identity resolution (Subject Identifiers)

Step 2: Open Add Subject
In the left navigation, click Add Subject. On smaller screens the control may appear as a person with plus icon.
The Add Subject wizard opens on Add Info.
You can also start an import from this area if you need bulk upload instead—see Bulk Upload Subjects.

Step 3: Step 1 — Add Info
Enter the subject’s full name in the name field (required).
Optional: drag and drop a supported ID or resume onto the name field, or click the camera icon to upload from your device.
Ferretly analyzes supported identification documents and can autofill name, address, and related fields (for example from a driver’s license).
Click Next.

Step 4: Step 2 — Location
Enter the subject’s home or known location:
Complete address fields when you have them.
If you only know city and region, start typing in City. Select a suggestion to fill related fields.
Confirm state/province and country as needed.
Click Next.
