Notifications
When something happens with a subject you own or with your Ferretly account, there are notifications. We’ll break down the types of notifications you’ll receive in this article, as well as how to change them.
All Notifications
All notifications relevant to your subjects and your Ferretly account will appear in the notifications bar in the top right of the page.
To view your notifications, click the bell icon in the top right. The dropdown will show the 50 most recent notifications on everything from a password change request to new background reports for your subjects.
Notifications with a solid circle are not considered read. To mark a notification as read, either click the individual notice, or click Mark all as read in the top of the dropdown.
The bell icon will have a count in red of the unread notifications.
Completed Background Report Emails
By default, when a background report is complete, you will receive an alert to the email address associated with your Ferretly account. You can change the email address that receives the alert, or turn the alert off altogether.
Click Settings in the left navigation. The button may appear as a gear icon depending on your screen size.
The Settings page will open. Click General Settings in the left panel.
Use the dropdown in the top right corner to select which report profile you are changing the email settings for. Each profile can have its own unique settings.
Your settings are automatically saved to the profile as soon as you change them, so be sure to select the correct profile or create a new report profile.
Uncheck the Email the Background Report upon Completion box in order to stop receiving these emails.
To change the email address the alert is sent to, click the email address present. In the new window enter the new email address and click Save.
