Supported Social Media Platforms

Ferretly is designed to analyze public post content from the most widely used social media platforms. Our decision to add a social media platform to Ferretly is based on several factors including having a threshold of 100 million or more active daily users.

The number of posts Ferretly analyzes varies by social media platform and is largely dictated by your plan, federal and/or state regulations regarding use of publicly assessable data, and technical limitations. The Ferretly platform is intended to analyze a sufficient number of posts to achieve a full understanding of your subject's online behavior. It is not meant as an exhaustive historical analysis of every post as this would become cost prohibitive.

In general, your plan may limit you to 1 year of history (under the Basic plan), or 7/10 years of history using the (Professional and Enterprise plans) if your use/case is dictated by FCRA.

Ferretly can support non-FCRA use/cases. For instance, you can use Ferretly to assess influencers to represent your brand and help you determine if their character is aligned with your corporate values. In this case, the social media report does not fall under FCRA rules and regulations regarding access to public information. In these cases, Ferretly will attempt to access the entire history of the candidate's posts.

The following table lists the social media platforms currently supported by Ferretly, any post limitations and year in which the platform was created.
