Use Report Profiles

A Report Profile (settings profile)  is a collection of settings and options that control the behavior of report generation in Ferretly.  Report profiles are attached to a subject so that the reports generated for that subject match your data needs. There are two instances where you can assign a report profile for a subject:

  • Report Profiles when Adding Subjects

  • Report Profiles when Updating Subjects

Report Profiles when Adding Subjects

When you manually add a subject, on the submit subject for processing window and the last page is the Subject Summary. On these pages, there is the option to choose the report profile for the subject’s background check. Click the dropdown and select the appropriate profile.

Unless you update the subject, this profile will automatically be used any time a report is run for this subject.

When you import subjects or add them via API then your default report profile will be applied to all of the subjects.

Report Profiles when Updating Subjects

When a new subject is created, Ferretly will use your default profile.  This default can be overridden by creating a new profile and setting this as the user’s default.

You can change the report profile associated with a subject when you update a subject. On the Subject Summary page, you’ll see the dropdown to select the report profile for the subject. The new selection will become the default profile for that subject.

If the background check was already performed, then you have to refresh the report to see the changes.
